The Pirini family came to Portsmouth from Villalta, a small village just west of Cesenatico, on the northeast coast of Italy. He worked on the bridge at Dover Point, for the Portsmouth W.P.A., as a blacksmith at the stone quarry on Wentworth Road, as a maintenance man at the shoe shop, and as a blacksmith at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. His last job before he retired was at the shoe shop again. |
